St Pancras station gets Q-Matic system

2/12/2008

Q-Matic has installed a Customer Flow Management™ system in the Eurostar ticket office at the newly restored St Pancras International train station in central London.

"We are expecting the Q-Matic system to help improve communications with our customers and give them better service," said Edward Hill, Eurostar Travel Centre Manager. "We are also looking forward to using the statistics generated by the system which will give us a better view of the customer flow patterns," he said.

Link to the Continent

Eurostar, the high-speed passenger train operator linking the UK and the Continent, launched services from the newly renovated St Pancras International station in November last year.

Travellers can now book through fares from 68 UK towns and cities - such as Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and Edinburgh - to Brussels, Paris, Disneyland Resort Paris, and Lille; and onward to 75 connecting destinations across France and to any station in Belgium.

St Pancras International has been restored to its full 19th century glory and is now a "destination station" for 21st century use. It boasts Europe's longest champagne bar, which runs for 97 metres right alongside the new Eurostar platforms. In the near future, the champagne bar is also being joined by a range of independent shops, a gastro-pub and a brasserie.
